Overview

The Point of Sale (POS) register (/pos) is designed for fast, frictionless retail cashier workflows. It handles barcode scanning, quick category browsing, variant pickers, customer selection, draft orders, and instant receipt generation.

Key Features

1. Barcode Scanning Simulator & Hardware Scanners:

   • Cashiers can scan physical barcodes using standard USB/Bluetooth barcode guns.
   • Built-in scanner simulator modal allows manual SKU input or barcode simulation.

2. Variable Products & Serial Tracking:

   • Clicking a product with variants (e.g. Nike Shoes) opens the Variant Picker Modal to select size, color, and specific serialized unit.

3. Draft Orders & Multi-Cart Support:

   • If a customer needs to continue shopping, the cashier can click Save Draft to park the cart without losing line items.
   • Cashiers can restore any saved draft instantly from the drafts tab.

4. Multi-Payment Methods:

   • Supports Cash, Credit Card (Stripe), Debit Card, and Store Credit.
   • Computes live change calculations for cash payments.

5. Instant Receipt & Invoice Printing:

   • Supports thermal receipt printing (80mm / 58mm) and standard A4 invoices with one click.
