HRM: Employees, Departments, Designations & Shifts
Overview
The HRM menu keeps your team's records next to the business they work in. It is made of four small lists that feed the employee record.
| Screen | Path | What it holds |
|---|---|---|
| Departments | /hrm/departments |
The teams in your business, each with an optional department head. |
| Designations | /hrm/designations |
Job titles, each belonging to a department. |
| Office Shift | /hrm/office-shifts |
Named working hours with a time in and a time out. |
| Employees | /hrm/employees |
The people themselves. |
Set up departments, designations and shifts first, then create employees and pick from them.

Employees (/hrm/employees)

Creating an employee
Click Create Employee (/hrm/employees/new) and fill in:
| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Personal | First name*, Last name*, Gender*, Date of birth, Family status |
| Contact | Email, Phone*, Country*, Province / State, City, Zip code, Address |
| Job | Department, Designation, Office shift, Employment type, Joining date, Leaving date |
| Leave | Annual leave (days), Remaining leave (days) |
* required.
Employment type is one of full-time, part-time or contract.
Note: the leave balance is kept on the employee record. Approving a leave request records the decision; adjust Remaining leave on the employee when you want the balance to change.
