Online Storefront Modes: Hosted vs External API

Overview

StockOps supports two distinct e-commerce architectures to accommodate any merchant's online retail strategy.

Mode 1: Built-in Hosted Storefront (/online_store)

• Zero Configuration Needed: Instantly live for your tenant out of the box.
• Direct Database Sync: Real-time product photography, live pricing, stock badges, search bar, dark/light theme switcher, cart drawer, and checkout modal.
• Custom Domain Ready: Point your custom domain (e.g. shop.yourbrand.com) to your hosted tenant storefront.

Mode 2: External Custom Website Integration (REST API & Webhooks)

• Bring Your Own Frontend: If you already have an existing website built on Next.js, React, Shopify, WooCommerce, or Webflow, connect it seamlessly to StockOps.
• Live Sync Endpoints:
  • GET /api/store/public/catalog → Returns live product list, pricing, and stock.
  • POST /api/store/orders → Ingests online checkout orders directly into your store POS and warehouse.
• Live Webhooks: Receive automated HTTP POST alerts whenever inventory changes or orders are placed.
