Integrations: Shopify, WooCommerce & Custom Systems
Overview
If you already sell through another platform, Integrations (/integrations) connects it to StockOps so you can pull its products and orders in, instead of typing them again.
One integration is configured per workspace. Supported platforms:
| Platform | What you provide |
|---|---|
| Shopify | The store's Base URL and an Access Token. |
| WooCommerce | The store's Base URL, a Consumer Key and a Consumer Secret. |
| Custom | A Products URL and an Orders URL that return the data, plus an Access Token if they need one. |
Setting it up
- Open Integrations.
- Choose the Platform.
- Fill in the connection details for that platform and Save.
- Click Test Connection. The status shows Connected, or Error with the reason (a wrong URL or a rejected key, for example).
Saving new details resets the status, so always test after a change.
Syncing products
Click Sync Products to pull the platform's catalogue into StockOps.
- Each product's name, code, price and stock is brought in.
- Products are matched on the platform's own ID, so syncing again updates the existing rows instead of creating duplicates.
- Each product is handled on its own: one bad row (for example a product code that already exists) is reported and skipped, and the rest still import.
- The result lists how many were imported and which rows had a problem.
Syncing orders
Click Sync Orders to pull the platform's orders in.
- Orders are kept in a separate external orders list on the Integrations screen, with their customer, total and status.
- They are a record of what happened on the other platform. They are not turned into StockOps sales, so they do not move your stock or your books.
The screen also shows when the last successful sync ran.
Good to know
- Credentials are stored for your workspace only.
- A failed sync sets the status to Error and keeps the message so you can fix the cause.
- Integrations is a plan feature and can be allowed or hidden per role.
